SCU members: to ensure your income tax refund gets deposited to your account correctly, please take a moment to verify the following when you/your tax preparer submits your SCU account information to the IRS:
- The account number you provide must match the account type AND it must specify savings or checking. If they don't match, your refund will be returned. Do not use the member number as your account number.
- The account number you provide must be for an open, active account.
- The routing number must be accurate. Our routing number is: 253978730.
If your refund will be deposited in a checking account, be sure to include the full account number
including the number after the space. You can locate the full number by looking at the bottom of your checks and using the checking account number listed. Refer to the illustration below to locate the account number on your check.
Also, please note, checking accounts opened before September of 2006 may have 12 digit account numbers. Be sure to provide all 12 numbers to your tax preparer if you have one of these accounts.
