MySCU Checking FAQs
What is happening and when?
To better the financial lives of our members, effective June 2, 2025, your State Credit Union checking account(s), currently known as Value, Relationship, First, or Loyalty will become mySCU Checking, or mySCU Loyalty Checking.
No changes to your account number will occur and no action is needed by you. These enhancements will be implemented automatically. There will be no changes to your account number, online/mobile banking access, existing checks, debit card, direct deposit, or bill payments. There will be no monthly maintenance fee for your mySCU Checking account(s).
Why are you changing my account?
We’ve updated our checking accounts to simplify account offerings and reward your loyalty in order to improve the financial lives of our members.
Your updated account will give you continued access to the benefits important to you, plus new enhanced options.
Will my account number or routing number change?
No. Your account number and routing number will remain the same.
I currently have direct deposit, automatic payments, or scheduled bill payments with my checking account. Will I need to set these up again?
No. All of your current direct deposits and bill payments will continue uninterrupted from the same account.
What remains the same?
- You can continue to use your debit card to make purchases and payments, and to get cash and manage your money at ATMs.
- You can still use SCU Online Banking and the SCU Mobile app with your account.
- You can continue to use your existing checks. Your account and routing numbers will not change, and your direct deposits and automatic bill payments continue uninterrupted.
